About the Role
This is a hands-on, implementation-heavy role. You’ll focus on executing workflow and logic improvements while architecture and product direction are handled by the leadership team. Your impact comes from shipping reliable changes, spotting risks and quick wins, and leaving systems better than you found them.
As an Associate Technical Lead, you will:
- Build and maintain solid REST APIs using Node.js to connect the platform with third-party services
- Improve the reliability of payment and communication workflows across tools like
Stripe, Xero, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams - Strengthen platform reliability with better logging, retry mechanisms, and failure handling
- Work closely with SQL and ClickHouse to ensure performance and data integrity
- Follow disciplined PR workflows, testing practices, and safe production deployments
- Provide clear technical documentation and weekly progress updates
- Deliver high-quality production releases based on designs from technical leadership
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Node.js expertise
- Solid experience building and maintaining REST APIs
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with data-heavy systems
- Experience with ClickHouse or similar OLAP databases is a big plus
- An engineer who values clean execution, stability, and responsibility in production environments
- Strong written communication and documentation habits
